Fitting Downlights in a Ceiling

Nine recessed downlights have been installed in rows of three.  Each row is on a separate switch so that the lighting can be adjusted.

The room has a three meter stud so the lights are spaced two meters apart and this gives even lighting at floor level.

The bulbs are Osram Duluxstar Minitwist T3   power 23 watts.   These give the equivalent light of a 120 watt incandescent bulb.   The power saving is impressive, with all the lights on only 0.2 units are used per hour compared with 1.08 units for incandescent bulbs.
