This round stair light uses a self ballasted compact fluorescent bulb which is included.  (These bulbs are available from any stockist of Sylvania bulbs - product Micro Lynx F GX53.1).  The colour given out is warm white similar to an incandescent bulb.

The bulbs are 7 watts and are cool  running making them safe for children and use very little power.
The fitting is recessed into the wall and has a satin chrome finish.  They come with input and output cords for easy installation.
