These are recessed downlights with a rim diameter of 95mm and a cut out of 78mm. They are 84 mm high which includes the heat sink.
The LED has to operate at a cool temperature to maintain its operating life so the heat sink is for this purpose. The light can be left on for long periods with little heat build up.
The light is a high power 9 watt LED which uses a 700 mA supply. This has to be purchased separately see drivers
The light output from this light is slightly less than you would get from a 50 watt halogen. To get the same output just add more lights, eg space at 1meter instead of 1.5 meters.
A good use for this light is in an external soffit where the light output is ideal and the light can be left on without drawing a lot of power.
The light fitting comes in White or silver.
