These are Osram Lumilux T8 fluorescent tubes designed for commercial and domestic use.
Average life 20,000 hours
Life at which 10% will have failed and relamping is recommended 18,000 hours
The tubes comply with RoHS Regulations and only safe levels of mercury are used


To help picking the correct tube here are some notes:

Power

The tubes have the option of 18 watt, 36 watt and 58 watts.  This is marked on the tube, eg in the picture below 18W means 18 watts.

The length of the tube determines the power
18 watts is   590mm long
36 watts is  1200mm long
58 watts is  1500mm long.

When replacing the tube it is a good idea to also replace the starter, to add starters, select this  in the options box.

Light Colour

The colour temperature corresponds to the light given out by a black body at that temperature.
It is useful as an indication of the colour of the tube.

Colour Rendering

This is a measure how colours show up in the light from the tube.
It is measured by the difference between the colour of the tubes light and the light given out by a black body at the same temperature.  It is indicated on a scale of 1 to 9  on the tubes and anything over 8 is considered very good.
